  • Why butane?

  • @xKmotx : For the fun only... just to see if a model engine can run with this fuel. Moreover, while testing it, I have noticed that the engine starts immediatly, iddles perfectly @2500RPM, and the smoke is more "smooth" than nitro smoke.... the big problem remains the lubrication!

  • when you wanna get rit of this engine remember me

  • @robot797 It''s no in my mind but you can find this engine on eBay from time to time...

  • @rapmoz even the electric start?

  • @robot797 : yes, the FEMA brand still sells onboard starters : just try fema-modelltechnik.de on Google

  • I once ran an old OS 40 LA on disinfectant. Had plenty of power and the exhaust smelled great but also a lubirication problem because of the water in that lotion which made it impossible to dissolve any oil. SO the engine finally died.

  • I have the airplane version of that exact engine. Ive only just recently seen another marine one. Yours is the second. The first one I did get to see live tearing up the lake. I love it!!!

  • @rapmoz: I see. Interesting then. I wonder if you could connect an oil "fogger" in line with the butane?
