@xin0 is sadly misinformed. This is based on a manga. It might not be a flawless adaptation but it's a fun action movie with a very unusual premise (the protagonist is trying to destroy the world).

I'd advise anyone not to watch this piece of crap!
it's aimmed at audiences who are only interested in movies with rubbish fight scenes!
This movie has no storyline, undeveloped characters and rubbish fight scenes.
Movie is also aimmed at heavy metal (death metal) lovers and goths.
Hence the title "Death" Trance.

Well I have not seen Devil May Cry 3 but will put it on my netflix. Since I worked on Versus(DVD extras) and Death Trace (I was Post production supervisor)that production crew is and are all very close friends and they are always working on each others films.
