Paul McCartney - I'm Down (New York Citi Field 2009).avi

En julio de 2009 el viejo Paul inauguró el estadio Citi Field, construido sobre las bases del Shea Stadium en el que tocaron The Beatles en 1965. Al presentar esta nueva versión de I'm Down, Macca recuerda que en aquel recital los gritos del público y la precariedad de los equipos de sonido hicieron imposible que el grupo pudiera escucharse a sí mismos.

totalmente desangelado PM, es brillante pero siempre estará a la sombra de Lennon. En este concierto tiene que valerse del video del 65. Su grupo sin ángel y terriblemente temeroso todavía tratan de digerir su canto de rana tratando de alcanzar a unos ángeles. Lo que hay que hacer para ganar para una torta de tamal: Como The Beatles niguno nadie jamás.

I guess I'm basing my assessment on concert footage I've seen over the years. They were definitely solid and professional, especially given the trying circumstances they usually performed in. It's just that they weren't Hendrix or the Who or even the Stones in their prime when it came to magnetic live performances. If all you ever knew about the Beatles was from their concerts you'd wonder what the big deal was.

@zyxwut321 I never even came close to seeing them live. They never came to Arizona. I do know a few people that did see them live. One overseas where there weren't so many screaming girls, and one each from the Detroit and New York areas. I actually asked them all what they thought of their live performances, and each one down to a man all said that they were frickkin' great. These weren't answers from blind-loyal followers. Of course, the equipment back then was primitive. joel
