Around two dozen people donated their hair to Locks of Love at Creative Hair Design in Perth Amboy, NJ on Monday. The donated hair will be made into wigs for people with cancer.
This is total BS!!! Locks for Love does NOT make wigs for cancer patients. They make a few insanely expensive wigs each year for kids with alopecia, a purely cosmetic condition. They can only be worn for a year or two before they need to be replaced and are difficult to care for. Also, the wigs they make look AWFUL. NO child needs a $2000 wig. Nice synthetics are easier to care for than human hair and look great.

Alopecia patients might feel ashamed about being bald too, you know. Just because it's cosmetic it doesn't mean that they don't need them
