one question to all this. the gaps- ie. silence for a half second to a second. are these intentional or is it due to bandwidth? Really like to know cos the gaps were actually quite good!-added to the soundscape in a weird way. please comment

although there are some intentional drop frames in the original film becuase it is made up from a variety of media textures, including VHS- Super 8MM, DVPAL and digital animation. This really was the aim, to incorporate multi layered textural pieces of film which draw you mind into the film whilst you are experiencing the frantic synth melodies and piano riffs,

The gaps are intention I think, I have further examined the video online.
When I made the film I applied an antique high quality film render in Adobe Aftereffects, this took almost two days to render.... I think the dropped frames which you are witnessing are something to do with the encode for web and film effect....
