  • you probably cant even afford to tip 20% when you go out either broke ass. you hate your job, QUIT. simple.

  • you want more money, GET A BETTER FUCKING JOB YOU DICK! 20% my moth-er-fuck-ing ass ho!

  • Its such bull, regardless I'm nice to every table that I have.. but where I work.. 2% of that bill goes to the kitchen.. and when bitches don't tip.. it comes out of OUR pockets. It sucks.

  • As a server/bartender, I never approach my customers with some unrealistic expectation that he/she is going to bequeath me their life savings. I happen to agree with GameMentor, if you leave 20% , you are never going to have a problem when you go out to eat. We remember the good tippers, and never forget the crappy ones.

  • Fuck your automatic tip you greedy fucking whore. Why don't you go wash windows on the street corner like a crackhead. Cause you're no different.

  • fuck tipping

  • 20 Percent's great. I usually tip 25 percent if I'm having lunch alone at a 2-top, minimum 5 bucks. Right on at @6:25.

  • If the percent keeps on going up, we will eventually be paying 1/4 in tip & then 1/3 & then 40% &, before you know it, tips will be 50%. That just makes no sense.

Keep in mind, that I am all about compensating servers, bartenders, etc. I have worked in the service business and have relied on tips. But I never expected my customers to pay a DISPROPORTIONATE amount in gratuity.

I personally tip 20% for good service, but I can afford it. Not everyone can afford an irrational rise in the percent.

  • For a long time, the average tip was 15%, NOT 20%. And it makes no sense that it went up. Here's why:

Tips are a PERCENT. The purpose of this, as opposed to giving a dollar amount, is that a percent causes an AUTOMATIC rise with inflation. When inflation causes prices to go up, the percent produces a higher amount of tip.

So raising the percent instead of the dollar amount actually destroys the purpose of using the percent. It's just math. Percents are immune to rises/falls in the total.

  • FUCK GRATUNITY
