@djvangenie I would guess that it's because the Mac's internal sound is being recorded, and that of the microphone, whatever it is being recorded to must have high latency. A 16th note delay would need to be some seriously bad acoustics ;)

im not trying to hate, i appreciate the tutorial, but why does everything sound like it's train wrecking

@disciple21781 Because the sound is picked up through the microphone he is speaking into which means all room acoustics and all the reverb is picked up too and since the microphone doesn't sit directly in front of the speakers the waves of both speakers get recorded at slightly different times.
