@PumpkinDave It's like the The Uninvited, Scott was crossing the desert, right after he came from Tokyo. Why would he have to cross the desert to get home? I guess he wants to be like Supertramp "You take the long way home" and while he's wasting his time trying to get home, there could be an emergency call.
