This products target market isn't someone who can build there own raid it's for someone. Or a company that needs afordable backup storage without needing the experience and know how to build one..

My point is that I don't think that it's worth the steep price, because such frquent drivefailures and additions probably won't happen more than once or twice during the life of the product in the hands of a normal consumer

THat is pretty useless, if i wanted to protect data i just make my own raid array from OS X in about 3 min
