ORANGE!!!!! :D
i heard they are so rare to get (amp)
Mate, two questions: What is your 'recommended' picking-hand position to achieve this easily? I have this problem of having my remaining 3 digits flapping in the breeze like a rebel flag (ala EVH haha). It strains my hand but I can't figure out a comfortable and unobtrusive way to position them.
Question 2: I think a lot of people will want to know the answer to this one. To develop this light touch, do you recommend having your guitar's action set as low as possible or is that unnecessary?

Good questions mate, 1) Make a loose fist to curl your remaining fingers up and out of the way. Freeze any of my picking videos to see how this looks. Or let the fingers sit on the strings to keep them muted.
2) Low actions are for people who fear tone. You need a medium to high action to let the strings properly give off bass response... Try a medium action. A light touch is just about being sensitive to how much force you are using :-)

The videos you've been putting up lately have been superb. Really essential stuff that everyone should be taught on guitar, though sadly, some people just don't get the need to play cleanly.
Rob, you really should consider making a website that focuses on online guitar tuition. I know I'd pay to use it.

Thanks mate, I appreciate that. I have been close to having a multi media site with tuition many times before... But something always gets in the way. I have a DVD out very soon, and another two in the pipeline :-)

No mate, this is old content, actually a sample from a student's private lesson that they kindly allowed me to share.
