Improvised Dance
I wanted to choreograph a dance to go with this track, so I started out by recording what movements I did when I heard the music. My intention was to then take parts of the dance that I liked and then build upon and around them to eventually come up with a final piece. I could then go and find a location or locations where I could shoot the actual film from different heights and angles. But as usual I didn't get that far and I realised I may never make that film, so here is the original dance I did to the music in my headphones with the track dubbed over.

I can hear echoes of this in some of the songs I write, maybe I knew it before I heard it, in another life maybe. Recently I have been hearing a lot of John Taylor's work on Jazz FM (DAB). The presenter Sarah Ward likes him a lot. This music does conjure up magical places like the Rosslyn Chapel for me. Try and visit it , it's in Scotland, outside Edinburgh, it dates from around the 11th or 12th century and you will see that this music has a sense of mystery which is there.
