I was lucky enough to see Olivia De Havilland speak in Los Angeles on 6/19/06. She was 90 at the time. God Bless her!

  • Hi, could someone translate what she is saying? I don't speak english very well, i am from Perú, and i would love to know, please. thanks!!

  • @pilarina85 She asked James Cagney "What is acting?" He said "I don't know, but whatever you say, mean it." She also went on the say that Cagney often enhanced the scripts by adding little things. If the script said to go out the door, he would go out the door, then pop back in the rooom again, then finally got back out for good.

  • Just hearing her voice makes me smile. It's a real honor to still be able to enjoy her.

  • @MarkThompson01 We're very lucky to still have her around!

  • Olivia de Havilland is such a great woman!

  • I'll never forget writing to her in 94 with no expectation of a response. Just wanted her to know how wonderful she was. Months later, I received a typed letter from her and a autographic photo of her as Melanie. Well, you can imagine my thrill. I then wrote her to thank her and she wrote me again!!!! I'll always treasure these letters!

  • I'm pretty sure when she passes away THE REAL HOLLYWOOD will die too!!! Elizabeth Taylor died SO she is the last of a kind (just remains Joan Fontaine, Lauren Bacall, Brigite Bardot and Sophia Loren).... The time of greats and unforgetables legends of THE GOLDEN ERA of Hollywood from all time...... No one today can touch those incredible ladies: Greta Garbo, Elizabeth Taylor, Katherine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, Ginger Rogers, Barbara Stanwick and more

  • now that we finally lost liz taylor JUST recently,,,that makes me want more OdH 2 survive 4 another decade being the last few golden age actress left that is still alive xD

  • Elegant and lovely woman.

  • @FriendofRamblinJack - Thanks! Yes, it was a thrill seeing her.
