Kermode is fairly right about this one. It's sort of a pulp espionage kind of thing that doesn't really play to Statham's strengths. It's messy and all over the place and for a movie do full of action, it's kind of dull and generally clumsily directed. Stahelski's fight choreography is pretty fun, but even that's edited all over the place, and the mishmash of accents covers up a much-too-convoluted plot that really doesn't make much sense anyway. Why the hell would you go to lengths making sure it's set in the appropriate time then buy a brand new motorcycle helmet? It's a sloppy film and can be summed up in three words: 1) Boooo, 2) oooooo, 3) ring.
