Frank Turek, co-author of "I Don't Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist," and Christopher Hitchens, author of "god is not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything," met at VCU in Richmond, VA to debate the subject, "Does God Exist?" A self-professed "fanboy" of Hitchens' admitted that he was a "disappointment" in this debate. Indeed, watch as Hitchens dodges evidence for God given by Turek. This is the first time Turek and Hitchens debated one another.

Turek's and Hitchens' second debate: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlozGO...

Turek is such a douchebag. Throw salt on Hitchens and you lose.

Miracles? Really? Faith is blind acceptance of explanations by ignorant people.

    Christians don't have morals.

We already have a word for something that is spaceless, timeless and immaterial. It's called non-existent!

Also because you have to consider time with entropy (and thus space-time) you have to state that second law of thermodynamics works as time moves forward the entropy (rate of disorder) increase. But if you travel backwards. It becomes more ordered. Meaning at the point of the big bang. You can assume that it is a finite point. Not a point of nothing. Also from a technical stand point. After the big bang. Some points did become more ordered (they formed solids - planets) from gases. So... yeah.

Personally i don't think that the plausibility of SURGE is an explanation of god existing.

Not least because if you want to create a universe and create many many creatures and yet make the chosen people (humanity) in your image and give them one planet in many many hundreds of thousands. And leave some planets entirely barren and empty (much like the beginning of the universe) in my opinion is wasting a lot of your potential as a deity.

Also initial conditions is low-entropy in 2nd law.

If it wasn't god's purpose, then people would no die. If god is the creator with ultimate control than there is no such thing as inability (the reality with an omnipotent god is that everything is subject to his will, and nothing he did not will to be could exist). Therefore death must be a creation and beloved institution in the eyes of god (which of course the bible supports). There is no verse in revelation that suggests humans in heaven will be "co-rulers" but only servants of god.

I see a few fallacies in that. I'm quite sure it is said that every human will be judged.. idk why my pet snake won't be judged

Its also a stretch to say we will be brought back here, to live forever. On a planet that does not function for us neither will it magically halt it's sudden heat death in favor of organisms. IF we even last that long, Im sure that whatever does live to see the end of the world will be much better than our lowly species. They won't be overrun by paranoia and small PFC's

You realize that the whole fire and brimstone Hell concept was put forth within the New Testament, right? The Old Testament doesn't have that concept within it. There's no choice involved because homosexuals aren't choosing to be gay, it's just who they are and they don't control it. And atheists don't choose not to believe, they just haven't been convinced that any such deity exists, and you can't really choose to be convinced of something.

I think it would be boring too. I'd rather stay here. The idea that all good people go to heaven isn't actually taught in the Bible. A few chosen ones will go to heaven, but they will be co-rulers with Jesus over those who stay on earth. Most people will be brought back to life right here on earth as young healthy humans, for a chance to live forever. It wasn't Gods original purpose that people grow old and die. Yeah, we suffer now, but in a 1000 years you won't remember.

...for the uniformed without advanced tools to measure or test the supernatural was feasible store to control the masses and uneducated in the form of religion. Now science prevails. There is no god just an excuse for things people do not have the mental capacity or means to to explain or understand.

The "super" natural becomes "natural" once understood through science this has been the historically proven through out time. Humans have illusions of spiritual grandeur just because they are in the right place at the right time with the right evolved brains to label and research everything. Design is only a "model" of understanding born and organically evolving from the thoughts of humans to make sense of the known and unknown world/universe. The standard for this research....

lol that honestly seems like it would get boring. Living in a otherworldly garden or, or whatever it's supposed to be.. to constantly love and worship a God that made you suffer the stamp of imperfection for many years.

And when you get there what do you look like? I mean do you look how you looked on the day you died? Would that basically make most of it a divine nursing home?

You seem to know a lot more than the average person so i thought I would ask while i had the chance of enlightenment :)
