Nov. 22nd 2008, UC hosted Pitt @ Nippert Stadium. UC was 0-7 all-time against Pitt with the stakes at an all-time high for this encounter, with a win UC would need only to defeat last place Syracuse the following week at home to clinch the Big East title. Tony Pike put on an amazing performance leading the Bearcats past the 20th ranked Panthers.
