This song, with music by Jule Styne and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, was written for the 1961 Musical "Subways Are for Sleeping." The musical is about a woman reporter (Carol Lawrence) sent to write about the homeless-folk that sleep on the new York City subways. She goes undercover pretending to be one of them, and when their leader finds out the usual musical comedy hijinks ensues.

The show also starred Sydney Chaplin, Orson Bean and Phyllis Newman.

From the Original Broadway Cast Recording, originally released on Columbia Records (Produced by Goddard Leiberson), and re-released on Fynsworth Alley.

The picture is an original production photograph, presumably of this number in performance.
