Very true. I often think about the fact that much sincere Tibetan Buddhist practice among Westerners seems to be an attempt to mimic Tibetans, rather than find a way to practice the meaning of the teachings in our culture. But if the Dharma will really take root in the West, it must become integrated, which means looking deeper into the teachings.
