JFK - It Is No Secret




In the election of 1860, Abraham Lincoln said, "There is a God and He hates injustice. I see a storm coming, but if He has a place and a part for me, I am ready." JFK was to scribble these same words on a piece of paper shortly before he was assassinated. The crumpled note was later retrieved by his secretary Evelyn Lincoln. It is well known that JFK felt he would be assassinated. After the signing of the nuclear test ban treaty with the Soviet Union JFK joked with his brother Bobby saying: "Bobby, this is the night I go to the theater." Bobby replied: " If you go then I go with you."
JFK did not fear assassination but prayed only that it would be quick and that he would not suffer.
