World Record Breaker Mike Houde, Demo @ TNESPL 3X. Team Elite NESPL Massive Aero Port!

my team mate Mike Houde (current db drag street stock world record holder) gives me a demo with these 2 12's on a DD M3 amp and custom aero port. He broke his rear view mirror... again. Tuned to low 30's :^) This is his daily driver, he set the record last season in a different vehicle. The 3x record stands to this day :-)

@projectdiy16 ..... Yes in most cases I would say I agree with turning the box around, but it is not always louder because it depends on the vehicle and setup. But sometimes when a vehicle is not an SUV or hatchback with open cabin, it can yield bigger numbers going this way. The trunk must be completely sealed, port facing driver, and reverse the phase on the amp to make the subs hit in instead of pushing out

ha....turn the box around.....priceless..... curious tho know the clamped power and score for the world record event....BTW, we were 3rd in 2008 finals for street stock 1. on a single type r 12, mrd 1005 amp, and stock electrical in a 2001 neon unsealed trunk. 144.9 music

@babyquigly1 Haha, if i turn it around it lost 3-4db, trust me that this was the loudest way, and if I plugged the port it completely changes everything. And there are only a few people who can hit a 170 and it'd be impossible to break the "back glass" because the are extreme wall setups, sealed to the front cabin.

So what exactly is the dern record? I hit 148.6 in 1999 using pair of eclipse 12" subs in a non ported box with 2 Rockford BD1000a1 amps. OLD SCHOOL systems rule.

@babyquigly1 yes if you turn your box around you will get more bass but ported is much louder then sealed thats why every car audio db freak has their boxes ported
