  • Amelia, I got so angry (not at you) after watching this. You know, you put yourself out there trying to let others have some insight on what this whole weight loss/bypass journey is like and then some assholes have the nerve to insult you. Forget them. Don't let them hurt your feelings, because it is obvious you have more courage and balls then they ever will. You have taken this journey, they haven't- and until they have, they can just stuff it. :)

  • Amelia DON'T beat yourself up for your weight gain; this video is difficult for me to watch because it seems as if you are trying to explain your weight gain. before my surgery (i'm 4 months out), i used to watch your videos and you were an inspiration to me. I like what your page says because its true--this surgery definitely isn't for woosies! Keep your head up and be encouraged because you are stronger than you know!

  • I MOST THANK YOU EMILIA I AM THINKING ABOUT THE SURGERY

  • Amelia... thank you first and foremost again and again for being a real person behind the camera. Tonight I posted about my own regain to answer messages from people talking about my own "fatness" and remembered how much this video helped me when I was eating from pain. Attached the link of your video to that one to offer how much strength ALL OF US call up to not only go through this journey but (and maybe more so) put it all out there on computer. Miss your honesty woman. Hope all is well!!!

  • i miss you

  • YOu look so good. I was wanting WLS but my insurance doesn't cover it. I am impressed with your success. Keep it up, and don't let anyone discourage you! You seem awesome.

  • Also, there are great meds that help supress the effects of PCOS and Hirsutism that some times accompanies PCOS. Find a good endocrinologist.

  • WLS is a tool. Just like other things in life.....healthy food, exercise, support systems, honesty, etc. Some times the tools work, some times it takes work to work the tools and some times things work great. Just keep on going.

  • Just check out some of your channel and just wanted to say your dedication on maintaining your health is inspirational. It shows that you are strong and hope nobody else can make you feel otherwise. Keep it up and +1 for standing up for yourself! :)

  • I love what u said about Weight loss is a constant battle. WLS is not the cure all. I realize its always gonna be a struggle for me. Ur right ab having a plan and getting used to a new lifestyle. People are so critical judging us for looks vs who the person really is.

  • Hi Lynn and Amelia:

Just read your message about gaining weight back and feeling like a failure. YOU'RE NOT! Losing and gaining weight is part of the food addiction, and can be dealt with by using tools for recovery through OA meetings, psychology, bariatric meetings and learning about nutrition and successing each day. Be encouraged, you are NOT alone.
