the reason the primers shoot out is because you dont have a primer seater on it

Sounds like a great set-up!!
The Dillon can be VERY fussy, but actually is easy to operate.

are you using the carbide dies? i process brass for a job and have a very bad problem with military brass sticking in my RCBS dies. I am thinking about getting carbides as that should help any ideas?

@SPCkeith Mine are not carbide, I have heard real good things about them. But the way the Dillon (at least mine) acts with the Military brass, I decided to go with a seperate standalone press, and so far it works beautifully! I have I think a litte bit more into the the die and the press, but with zero headaches. A lot of reloaders are doing it. It also takes a lmsot of stress that is exerted on it off of the machine.

@hkct45 yeah I do all my processing on a rock chucker so my dillons don't have to work to hard.
i think it was a learning curve with my lube as well giving me hell because i am trying hornady one shot. what lube do you use?
SPCkeith 11 months ago
@SPCkeith I use the Dillon case lube, it worked great with my once fired Federal, Remington, etc. but once I tried the LC's thats when the headaches started. Iv'e been told a bunch of the cased have been fired out of machine guns with purposefully built loose chambers. So the cases end up more "swollen" than the more precision rifles.

I have had no problems with L C 308 resising or primer pockets. The 223 is a little more tricky. I use the Dillon case lube and spray it at about a 45% angle toward the neck to get a drop or two in the neck and never had a problem. Love the 650.Thanks for the video.

@OBXSOLWIND Thanks!!
I think all our problems with the 650 boils down to my bench. It's older than the hills and should be run through an industrial planer. I've got it as tight and level as I can, and the 650 is kicking butt!! My buddy and I are about ready to run another 1000+ through it. The primer issue we have is with the CCI primers I bought, we are going to use them up and go to Winchesters afterwords.
Be safe, & Thanks again!!
