Prince Announces Series of Concerts in New York

Prince says he's planning a tour to begin in December that will feature himself, his band and other performers. The 52-year-old made the announcement Thursday at New York's famed Apollo Theater, dubbing it 'Welcome 2 America.' (Oct. 14)

I hate when people say somebody is the best because of how many hits they have when it's the promoters and his entire record label that make it happen.

@Nintendog140 yes ther are very different artists, their rankins specifically being the king of pop and once only just scraping the title "prince of pop". The bottom line is that prince's music is just not as entertaining as MJ's, nor does he as great stage presence. compare how many hits prince and mj have,its all there in the record books. if not based on that, its just opinion, which i would believe in all cases MJ would win

Not true. If you'd listen to Prince you'll see they are both very different artists and Prince is a different artist whose albums sound different from each other. So it isn't fair to compare Prince to anybody. Prince's 21 nights and at the 02 arena in london was very successful and MJ tried too hard to top that. Michael Jackson is a great artist, I'm a fan of both. There is no rivalry between the two so I don't see why there should be rivalry between the fans.

3) Prince wishes he was Michael Jackson, hence the similar styles

4) Big difference is Michael Jackson has achieved more than Prince in every arena possible. And Prince is still alive and can't achieve higher than a worshipped dead legend.
