Asia Pacific Nations are urging the European Union to make more cut in agricultural subsidies.
Indias commerce and industry minister says, Failure to secure a global trade deal will not make or break the Doha round of trade talks. Most developing nations refused to signed on to a trade liberalization agreement unless developed nations particularly Europe reduce support for their agricultural sector.
Simon Littlewood, President of Asia Now quotes,
There is total failure to agree on the agricultural subsidies. The general view is that the percent being offered by Europe is not enough.
