@AyaKatz There is a reason that she doesn't specify what god is summoned

@SimkinZero Some people accept slavery. Having freedom means the ability to choice a master. Terrible, but hey, I am not in the business of breaking chains forged by the "victim".

@AyaKatz Killing is killing. Saint or murderer, bacteria or man. When you breathe, you kill. You put death on your table, and you sleep on the products of entropy. Be wise in your killing, and your law will say "thou shall kill"--be a fool, and many more things than murder will be denied you.

@brainiac256 I tend to agree with AyaKatz below - it's not so much that it's a false dichotomy between totalitarianism and total war/anarchy, but rather than the only way to avoid the POSSIBILITY of war is to remove free will (i.e. total slavery). It's more an argument against those who assert that fighting is inherently barbaric. The narrator in the song naively believes that the world would be better without any war, not realizing that sometimes war is necessary.
As artistic and insightful as this is, hasn't she posed a false dilemma to us? Surely totalitarianism isn't the one and only way to avoid mass murder. Is that really the only choice we have--live in peace under a fascist state, or live free with the constant din of war?

@brainiac256 It's not a false dilemma. In order to live free, we have to be prepared to fight for our freedom. War, by the way, is not mass murder. Murder means an unlawful killing. As long as people can't distinguish between murder and killing, they are unable to defend themselves.
However, the din of war need not be constant. The better you are at defending yourself, the less often you will be called upon to do so. I agree that constant war is very bad.

Srry---was the guy talking to Ares? O.o but but but.... How'd he stop all the war... oh right he's its god... but wouldn't that be weird cause Odin is a war god too so would he not get pissed that Ares stopped the war, i mean all war, without him? Now I wanna see the ensuing fight... wait no! That'd be APOCALYPSE! Run!

@WarriorHawkSpirit Whatever! The gods can and do war amongst themselves, as they are made in our image. I used war gods from different cultures, as war is not exclusive to a single nation. It is a universal human value.

@WarriorHawkSpirit And THAT is why you don't mix mythologies :)

@mashmusic11235 But ironically when two peoples go to war, each side is often heard to remark: "Our god is stronger than yours!"
