In 1926, a young girl called Norma Jean was moved from foster home to foster home. Throughout her horrific childhood, she dreamt of being the greatest star, just like Jean Harlow. Marilyns struggle to become a star was full of misery and disappointment, but one day- she made it. The world couldnt get enough of the blonde bombshell who was gorgeous and a comedic genius. Marilyn strived to be taken seriously as an actress, but was made fun of. Finally, when she won a golden globe for her role in the legendary Some Like it Hot, Marilyn was in too deep to realise she had made it. She ended her life feeling abandoned, unloved and forgotten. Marilyn Monroe- the most idolised woman in history, died in 1962. No one ever had her quality. She was unique. At first we saw a sexy, alluring, curvaceous bombshell, but when we looked again, there was an innocent, lost, angel- whos beauty could only have come from heaven. We loved your comical and dramatic performances Marilyn. Your looks, your dresses, your voice, your strength. The inspiration youve given me to never give up and believe in myself is priceless. Heres another tribute to Marilyn, from me, who like many in the past, present and future, know that shes the greatest star of them all.

@soundman2002x lol, well i love films, and for some reason i just prefer the studio era of Hollywood... the glamour, the stars, the films, the famous quotes, the music... i would have loved to have been a young girl going to the movies and seeing stars like Joan Crawford and Humphrey Bogart onscreen.
