  • When I finished my Masters in Teacher, for my educational philosophy, I cited Mr. Fenny's words from 1:15 - 1:45. Got my degree..hehe

  • That last scene always gets me <3

  • Ah! Childhood. Funny thing about this show. Other stuff happened, I'm positive of it, but all I remember is the awesomeness of Mr. Feeny.

  • @Antichrist2000 while the 2nd group tried the harder test and refused to give up on it and worked hard to figure out the answers. The tests also confirmed that the kids in the first group got angry when they were challenged by the harder test. It proved that when we give prizes and praise for just trying, that it leads to a false sense of accomplishment and when the kids grow up and aren't praised for trying they won't like it and become mad and not work to become better.

  • @Antichrist2000 I know, right? The mindset society has now of "can't hurt anybody's feelings" is getting us nowhere. It is actually hurting our society. There are psychology experiments where 2 groups of kids are given an exam, one group is told how good they are just for trying and told how smart they are, the other group wasn't. They gave the kids a second test, much harder, and the 1st group refused to do it because they didn't know it and didnt want to be considered "dumb"

  • @WarEagle140 Not just pass on messages but they weren't afraid to touch racy subjects either and were able to get away with a lot more back then. Weren't we supposed to progress with time not become more constricted by political correctness *sigh*

  • DROP A GEM ON 'EM, FEENY.

  • Like #100. This show was ahead of it's time. And what's sad is they had it right, education really has gone down the tubes since the time of this show.

  • Stuff like this makes me want to be a teacher sooooooo much x'] <3

  • the awkward moment when they see each other in the hall straight after this scene

  • Mr. Feeney. Still schooling us 11 years later.

  • @jgreen3900 79 likes now. They just don't make shows like they did in the 90s anymore. No more shows with messages they try to pass on to the viewers. I feel so lucky to be born in 91 and be able to grow up in and remember the 90s and I feel so bad for those who don't remember or never experienced the 90s cuz they really missed out.
