  • I'd been wondering the name of this song since I saw Doug play it in the Sunday service at St. Louis one year. The only thing I could recall was that someone had made a Gospel song out of Little Old Log Cabin in the Lane

  • @SteelguitarLane The audio intro and outro is "I'll Fly Away" which is on the DVD. Doug is playing "Lily of the Valley" in the video. Visit Billy Cooper's Steel Guitars for more info on the DVD and the full song list.

  • What is he doing at 1:25? It looks like he's hitting a harmonic, but i really can't tell...

  • @patrickjamesfitzroy Yep...harmonic.

  • Both Billy and Doug are excellent players with different styles. Doug is fast and powerful and smiles when he's done a lick he knows no one else can pull off. Billy is the cleanest most tasteful player I've ever heard. Perfect pitch, perfect touch, and in the words of The Lovin Spoonful...."clean as country water!"

  • Cooper's music has very good line of steels, I own one of his. Doug Jernigan is one fine musician as well as Billy Cooper

  • just fine...

  • @jscooter70 Yes that is a Billy Cooper series and as a matter of I own that steel Doug's playing. Be real nice if I could make it sound that good! What a great picker and person! One of the best.

  • @haybaler97 That is a Mullen Billy Cooper series steel, made in about 1994. From what I was told they only made 18 off them, some where single necks and some were doubles.

  • Oh man!!!! That´s excellent! :)
