@dsquaredproductions All babies aren't "female until flooded with testosterone". Before that "flood" (which isn't a flood since the amount of hormones is fairly tiny), you can't call the fetus female nor male. The testosterone actually turns into estrogen in the brain, funny enough. Or so I believe. Also, "the body becomes male" is not quite true and is, in fact, cissexist among other things.

@dsquaredproductions Oh, I think that you thought that I was saying that being trans is a mental illness. Not so. (Not that there's anything wrong with mental illnesses as I am neurodivergent myself...) Society treats us as mentally ill, however.

@tuuLi That's not true. It's been scientifically documented recently that all babies are female until flooded with testosterone to become male, something happens with a transsexual baby that blocks the testosterone from effecting the brain, so the brain remains female but the body becomes male. It just seems odd because the media tends to focus on the Male to Female (MTF) transsexuals who like men. I'm an MTF transsexual lesbian and about 2/3 of the MTFs I know are lesbian. I'd looked up the statistic once that suggest that as many as 70% of MTF transsexuals are lesbian. Gender identity isn't linked to sexual orientation, if it were then there would be so such thing as gay or lesbian.

@Raptorgesuslol @bonifagurl Transsexuality is still considered a mental disorder and transsexual women are forced to sterility to be able to legally change their sex on documents.
