Deodato's disco/funk arrangement of Strauss' Also Sprach Zarathustra is featured in "Being There", starring Peter Sellers. It inspired (according to bassist and weirdo Mike Gordon) the Phish rendition which has become a long-term classic in their live repertoire. I've heard way messier versions by Phish.

no good - the 1972 recording is fab, but most live versions (like this one) are pale comparisons and don't retain any of the "imperfect" magic and smooth feel of the 70s original.
