@meddersISGOD No that was the game earlier in the year which we lost by 2 points. It was Hay (yes, in the goal square!) who kicked it but the umpire thought it came off Solomon. We won the next 6 games against the Bombers!

@Essendon21forever "Pressure"? He tried to go for glory by kicking a banana goal which is unrealistic considering a drop punt would have been simpler and more effective. Considering the game was at the death, he should have taken the set shot, and ran down the clock...not go for glory shot!

What Essendon supporters are saying about this is horrible! He tried his best, he missed so what! Give the kid a break, I'd love to see ANY of you try and kick a goal under that presure you probably wouldnt even be able to kick it with no pressure. If you can't let go of this and move on you ARENT a true supporter.
This isn't the first time this has ever happened in AFL history, Nick Riewoldts grand final play on and miss from the goals square 2010, people got over it moved on with their lives

I'm an essendon supporter and I'll never get over this, I mean he could have even straightened up and had a set shot for god's sake! And this is why a drop punt is always more effective than any other kick because all you have to do is face the goals and kick it straight, simple.
