Two of my favorite distortion pedals. Both high gain type, great for "Brown Sound". For this demo, I am using also Gibson LP Standard and Mesa Boogie 50 Caliber amp

  • This may sound like a stupid question, I haven't had much experience with pedals, but what would happen if you had two distortion pedals on at one time?

  • @Jawbreaker1000

Hi I am playing with two pedals very often, but not with those two. They are both high gain pedals, the result will be no definition and way too much noise and gain. You can use two drive pedals, but the first needs to be booster type (like Xotic BB for example)

    Cheers!!

  • @koliok yeah, that's pretty much what i thought. lol. Can all that gain and noise hurt your amp though?

  • @Jawbreaker1000

    Not at all!!

    Cheers!!

  • Thanks for your review!

I really disagree with you on many things you write, but of course, you have your opinion, I have mine :-) When it comes to matters of taste, people have very different opinions.

    Cheers!!

  • I ordered the brownie. He (Chad I assume) says something about a transistor swap. Is the brownie in ur vid stock or with the transistor swap?

  • @joelg125

Great, enjoy it!!! My is stock, the transistor swap gives more gain, which I don't need.

  • Cool demo. Brownie sounds like a hot rod plexi, and the Riot sounds like a hot rod 800!

  • suhr wins..........

  • @koliok Wicked licks dude!!! I have two 50 cal +'s one combo and one blond head. Love your tones. You should post your eq & knob settings. Keep on rockin!!! Thanks, Derek

  • killer playing, you can give GMD and PGS a run for their money..the Riot just cuts in this demo very nicely...

  • to my ears the riot is more "glassy" ,but i wish both

  • Which would you recommend to be used through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a Strat and likely a Dimarzio Tone Zone in the bridge? Maybe a PAF Pro, hell maybe it wont even be one of those ha. The Riot sounded brighter here but the Strat and Hot Rod Deluxe are brighter sounding (likely), would that open up the brownie a bit more? I really like what you got out of the riot here!
