Secretary Duncan speaks to a crowd of over 1,000 community school advocates at the Coalition for Community Schools 2010 National Forum in Philadelphia, PA. He praised them for their extraordinary commitment to ensuring that schools across the country truly become community centers - open across the country for 12-13 hours a day, 6-7 days a week, 11-12 months out of the year. He notes that if this were to happen, we could get dramatically better outcomes for children.
