Mr. Derrick, have you ever considered creating your own original mixed drink? Might I suggest that you title it "Flaming Dork"!! You may be able to sell the recipe and move out of Grandma's basement!?!

just to know I'm replying to a year old comment which seems a little dim, but I'll post it here for future reference

Schnapps is derived from the German Schnaps meaning swallow: a liquor of AV higher than 40%. Lightly fruity as it's distilled from fruit. There is no sugar added to it

on the contrary in America, companies write Schnapps on bottles leading people to believe they are so but it's untrue

The correct name for it is Liqueur

Bols & DeKuyper are different brands of Liqueurs not Schnapps

@thekrakenism Yep, that is the technical correct way of saying it. Or, you call them "American Schnapps" because that's sorta what you've got. It's sorta like saying that Budweiser isn't a beer because it doesn't conform to Reinheitsgebot, wheat/water/barley/hops and thus it's not a beer. It is a beer, it's just an "American Beer" :-)

Hey can a WOOWOO be strained into a shooter and have only 1/2oz of each ingredient? If so, what is more common? The shooter or highball?

@gooser562 as long as the ratio's are correct you can do half-tea spoons if that fits you right :) I often times do that when I'm testing my own personal recipes rather than wasting too much liquor.

If I had to guess, I'd say the Woo Woo as a highball is more common but I'm sure there are dozens of people that would say otherwise. It's the type of drink that works well as a tall drink because it's not too potent.
