  • can you take and apply these to discus. like to the sweeping leg and stuff. not all the parts but some

  • Yep. Research by Bing Yu (the USATF discus biomechanist) actually found the same finding for discus throwers as I detailed for shot putters.

  • @safty30 I'm a discus specialist. The biomechanics are similar. Main differences: the shot putter leans farther forward at the waist; the wind at the back is not as dramatic; the right knee drives higher up in the shot and the lower leg is more vertical; the body separation is not quite the same.
