Went to #25 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1984. I think this is my favorite song on Purple Rain.

  • I would die for you....

  • Best Love Song i ever listen to

  • Love Prince!!!!!! A Rocker with soul.....

  • After co-writing the song Pour Some Sugar On Me with Joe Elliott, I made up the song Sugar Walls with Michael Hutchence of INXS. Mutt Lange and others wanted to help to boost Sheena Eastons career and brought her in. Prince claims Sugar Walls for me under the pseudonym Alexander Nevermind which came from The Sex Pistols Never Mind the Bollocks and why Kurt named the album "Nevermind". INXS had been on tour in '83 with Adam Ant (The Pistols & Ants manager McLaren is the connection)

  • There is a rumor that Prince wrote songs for Def Leppard, but I wrote songs for both artists. The first song I wrote was Pour Some Sugar On Me with Joe Elliott. My mother is from Georgia and used "Peaches" in the song which I also used in U Got The Look and again in Hot Girls for INXS. This is where Bob Geldof and Paula Yates got the name for their daughter Peaches.

  • My grandfather started his ministry in 1934. I grew up in the church and started attending singing school at the age of 4. This inspired me to write I Would Die 4 U for Prince after being discovered by Joe Elliott of Def Leppard in May '83. I used Nikki Sixx name for Darling Nikki and wrote U Got The Look about Kurt Cobain while I was also involved with Michael Hutchence of INXS. Kurt was on the Def Leppard roadcrew when I met them and he was 18 (2 yrs older than he claimed in public).

  • lol wth Prince isnt gay.. hes a womanizer hahaa

  • Love this
