Yes On Prop 8 - Protect Marriage

Proposition 8 is NOT an attack on gay couples and does not take away the rights that same-sex couples already have under California's domestic partner law. California law already grants domestic partners all the rights that a state can grant to a married couple. Gays have a right to their private lives, but not to change the definition of marriage for everyone else.

  • the true meaning of Marriage is when to people love each other they marry as a sign of commitment to each other.

  • @dragonking17 Marriage is a comprehensive union of two sexually complementary persons who seal (consummate or complete) their relationship by the generative act—by the kind of activity that is by its nature fulfilled by the conception of a child. So marriage itself is oriented to and fulfilled by the bearing, rearing, and education of children. The procreative type act distinctively seals or completes a procreative type union.

  • Same sex partnerships, whatever their moral status, cannot be marriages because they lack any essential orientation to children: They cannot be sealed by the generative act.

  • YUP!! Amen to that!! It's simple a matter of definition you can remove all the religious aspects IF you like, 2 guys living together are roommates, NOT a Married cpl. When I ask for a PBJ I expect a Peanut Butter AND JELLY sandwich and NOT Peanut Butter and more NUTS! Things have names for a reason..

  • @carlindelco Consider the conclusions of the left-leaning research institution

    Child Trends:

“[R]esearch clearly demonstrates that family structure matters

for children, and the family structure that helps children

the most is a family headed by two biological parents in a

low-conflict marriage. Children in single parent families,

children born to unmarried mothers, and children in stepfamilies

or cohabiting relationships face higher risks of poor

    outcomes. . . .

  • . . . There is thus value for children in promoting

strong, stable marriages between biological parents. . . .“[I]t

is not simply the presence of two parents, . . . but the presence

of two biological parents that seems to support children’s

    development”.

The wellbeing of children gives us powerful prudential reasons to recognize and protect marriage legally.

  • stop telling the kids stuff that isn't true. But those types of parents live in Stepford in their head and daddy gets to beat mommy too. It's all part of the program

  • This little girls friend Megan has some very unfit parents that are feeding their daughter a lot of lies. This girl wouldn't be confused if her friend Megan had parents that knew how to raise kids right. Stop telling your kids that marriage is necessary to make babies. You kid will just resent you when they find out the truth and this poor little girl wouldn't have to be confused. If I were one of this girls daddies then I'd be contacting Megan's parents and telling them to stop telling l

  • @SingAlexandra Jesus had two dads and he turned out just fine...

  • hahahhahahaahahahha

  • @jenn1ifer I guess heterosexual couples who fail to produce any children should not be granted a marriage license then.

  • @SingAlexandra No...the institution of marriage was designed as a business deal to ensure family progress/what ever the parents of the couple wanted...that's why we had arranged marriage for so long.

Obviously times have changed, now, we get married for love. It doesn't matter what the institution of marriage was "formed for" what matters is what it is now. Now Marriage is to celebrate the ever lasting love of two consenting adults!

  • @HottieBobby22 legaly yes, the institution of marriage was formed to protect children.

  • @SingAlexandra I am far more educated than you, I went to the best college, MIT Massachussets see, my videos, moron, and the more I am educated the more I understand God is not ok with bad actions an filthy lifestyles thats why 3/4 of earth will end. Revelation is TRUE.

  • @SingAlexandra Ya... i would submit my comments through Microsoft Word and click Spell/grammar check before replying from now on ;) There is a direct relationship between the ignorant and the homophobic. People who do research, who attend college, who are more exposed and educated about the world, are way more understanding of homosexuals. You have a lot to learn.

  • @RodTalon0000 u are confused ....I knew that from the beginning
