FSSP transform a modernistic free-standing altar into a very beautiful High Altar. The church that this took place in is in France and is now operated by the Fraternity of St. Peter. The complete time for this "Altar-ation" was just about 15 minutes!

  • I too believe that high altars are THE PROPER WAY OF CELEBRATING THE MASS! there is no reason at all that a priest should be facing the crowd, showing his back to god in the tabernacle. also another thing that should be returned is where the priest and deacon sit; it is traditional custom that the priests chair be place at the side of the alter not in front, nor even on the right or left but to the side, because the tabernacle is the throne of christ and only he alone can sit in the middle!

  • @dacatholicbandorgan Satan played the bishops at Vatican II like a chess board. We need to pray more and be more vigilant! PAX!

  • Boy I really love those guys. On a scale of 10, I give to those guys a 12 . God bless those humble guys. Deus lo vult !

  • I switched over from Roman Catholic to Byzantine Catholic. If I wanted to be a Protestant, I'd join a Protestant Church, which is what so much of the Catholic Liturgy and music is nowadays. UGH! Alot of the clergy in the Roman Church is so narcissistic, it's sickening. I'll stick with the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom or St. Basil.

You can't go wrong with either of those two.

  • At least I'd like to appreciate them for their effort of preserving the TLM. ...... Proficiat.

  • Excellent. I wish every ugly altar could be so transformed.

  • the Vatican II never removed the TLM, but it was the cardinals and bishops of Post-Vat II who wanted to remove the TLM forever...

  • Well done... You good and faithfull servants.
