is this meisterschaft gt?
Moose7287 1 year ago
It does have the Meisterschaft mufflers, but the unique sound has a lot to do with the headers. Back then it was just Meisterschaft as they didn't have variants like they do now. It's probably on par with their GT system now.

Is this set up real loud when just cruising? I mean could you drive it without too much intrusion of sound into the cabin...(until you mash it)

This setup is pretty loud all the time. Definitely nowhere near as loud cruising as when at full throttle, but it's still pretty loud cruising. However, Rimier Motor Sport has different setups available to achieve the desired sound. There is a more recent setup that has the same tone at full throttle (just a bit quieter) and is very acceptable while at part throttle or just cruising... it's aggressive yet refined.

It sounds very nice, but I would rather have Eisenmann Race

The Eisenmann race would sound exactly the same, just a bit quieter. The reason it sounds so different is because of the headers and section 1 midpipes. Headers dramatically change the sound of the M5 regardless of what mufflers you have.
Without headers the Eisenmann race & Meisterschaft systems sound very similar with the high, F1 type sound... Meisterschaft is just louder.
