    I think it's by Arthur Rackham. It obviously influenced Brian Froud, if you watch his pre-Labyrinth cartoon film, 'The Faeries'.

  • I KNOW THAT PIC. I saw it in a puppet show. the main character meets this pretty girl and whatever, and she takes him to see the mountain king, who in fact is her father and a typically awesome troll thing. She then shows him his tail and goes into her true form. Then the creature things fly in like a cyclone thing around him, and he runs away and she follows him to find him.
