So musikalisch.....
-
This is fantastic! With more training I hope we will be able to hear this wonderful voice in top opera houses.
-
it's acceptable for a woman to be disguised and sing orsini or oscar or even tancredi... But not for a man to sing norma, trovatore, borgia??.... Sounds like a double standard for me... If we have men like this one with such a voice... Why can't he sing norma?... I personaly would sing one hell of a rossina (i'm a speedfire coloratura).
-
why not? it's good, congratulations....Maria would be proud!

This is you at your best...beautiful job!

@unjorob
Thank you, for your posts. Yes, I had begun my vocal study as baritone and "switched" to countertenor only in four years.

@hautecontrre "Switched" means that with the vocal work your voice naturally goes from baritone to contratenor?
galletitamortal 2 months ago
@galletitamortal It means, I'd just begun to develop exceptionally my high register ("falsetto", call it as you wish).

@hautecontrre But "contratenor" doesn't means that a men naturally have a woman range voice?... I'm bass and with falsetto I can sing as a mezzo or contralto but it's not my natural coloratura of voice.
galletitamortal 2 months ago
@galletitamortal I have to disappoint you, but it doesn't.
"Naturally" (within the meaning of "without male voice at the bottom") soprano, mezzo-soprano or contralto could be only women or castratos (excluding children).
All these conversation about "natural castratos" nowadays are fairy tales. Nature don't have this kind of exceptions at all.
I can still sing in bass-bariton range. Sometimes I use it for fun :)
