LNER P2 2-8-2 steam locomotive model "Cock o'the North"

Bought as a finished model from an auction, this locomotive was quite nicely painted, as seen here, but was in fairly poor mechanical condition with a very "tired" open-frame motor. Badly fitted valve gear was also causing drag on the drive mechanism. A new motor and careful refitting of parts have made the loco run much better. It will do as it is until I eventually build another from the kit I have.

Hi great Video, I also purchased a pro-scale (00) model From vectis auction last August it was very well made by JJ Prescott and has a portescap motor it not only looks great but runs well since then i have also purchased another proscale P2 model but this was unfinished again another beautiful model but needs quite a lot of TLC to get it to an acceptable stage
