Gawd - she was beautiful - the most exotic, dreamy, sexy thing we ever saw on TV - in the drear drear days of Britain in the 70's - she kept us from just giving up in the white pudding days.

God loves you Shirley - and we are not ( were not ) worthy. She was brilliance personified - there is always a sliver of light even in the darkest times - and she was that sliver, that glimpse of something brighter, warmer - less dull.

feel she is a bit drowned by the band or they arent in totaly sync here - she sings so wonderfully though and that dress that was the talk of the country for months - I remember it vividly
