My baby had the traditional surgery for a fused left side closed suture. He also had a misshaped orbital bone. He did not wear a cap afterwards - as this was in 1982 when the surgery took place. At 29 today, he is a handsome young man. Thanks for the video and the progress in technology.WOW!

@beckycampbell1220 Hi becky, in my humble opinion i d choose the small one! is less invasive and for that is less danguerous. my babe had de big one, now he is ok, but we had several complications, he was at the "icu for 8 long days, but i also have to say, that my babe was the only one in the clinic with complications after this surgery, the other babes operated the same week for "cranio" stayed just 3 days in "icu" Besides with the small one the scar also is smaller.

hello my name is becky and my daughter will be 3 months on the 24th and she has to have the correction surgery and we have to decide which one we want the one that is small and done now or the one that is done when she is 8 months old i was wondering if your son had the more invasive surgery and how the end result was. The surgeons here all they will say is that the end result is the same and im more concerned with the healing process if you have anything u think could help

Wow my daughter just got the same surgery today thanks for this video :)
Hi, thanks for the Vid.
Am a 26 years old father of a 4 months little boy, and this friday he has a traditional surgery (ear to ear scar) but i am so scared, and would prefer this kind of surgery (endoscopy) so my question is: Even been 4 months old, he can have this surgery with good results???
Thanks for your help, and i apologize for my poor english level!

@soycolombianisimo Hello father, traditional surgery is still the golden standard. It achieves good cosmetic and functional results with very low morbidity and few risks, so in my opinion you should not be scared of the planned surgery ahead.
