@dirtbagwhitetrash its similar to greco but not as effective because its noo upright.

@scarred10 obviously modifications have to be made but its still a good base if you cant train straight mma or just wanna transition

@scarred10 There is actually a lot of wrestling in actual Muay Thai. Not freestyle but pretty much greco with knees and elbows. The Thai's because they work on grappling young and wrestlers who do it from a young age gain the advantage of core strength in a lot of fights whether it be kickboxing, mma, or muay thai.

@scarred10 yer i fully understand that, i been doing a bit of wrestling, its a sport u need all the attributes to be succesful in any sport, i jus makin the point like with ufc point of view wer the wrestlers come and cant mix it punchin and kickin, so they wrestle and hold a guy against the cage or pin him to the floor for 15mins, aint reali a fight

@dorzey100 its the oldest type of fighting, wrestling and grabbing is more natural than striking.Of course wrestling isnt a streetfight but having spent part of my teens wrestling in the states I can tell you that good wrestlers are fighters in every sense of the word in terms of heart, mental toughness, resislience ,athleticism and agression. Its why they transition so well to mma.

wrestling is not fighting period

Wot a figher!!!!!
Nobody is the best, if you have more than 100 fights, im sure you lost more than once. And that doesn't mean that who beat you is better. Dekker beat coban twice, Coban beat Dieafat, Diafat beat Dekkers twice. One of many examples

@dirtbagwhitetrash the thai wrestling isnt very effective in mma because its too upright, everything in thai is too upright for mma.
