Beach Nourishment Update 8/8/2011

The Liberty Island and crew must have worked all weekend near milepost 14. They were well south of the Quay condos and working in front of the Sea Pointe neighborhood in the Villaeg at Nags Head. The north fence was about milepost 14.5 at the Village at Nags Head access, about 5017 S. Virginia Dare Trail. The south fence was at the Town Hall beach access, between Sea Pointe and Whispering Sands, about 5323 S. Virginia Dare Trail.

The Texas was not pumping when we were there this morning. The tide was farther out than it wsa when we were here Friday, so it was hard to tell if they had moved at all since then. They were still in teh vicinity of Sea Gull Drive, about milepost 20.5 or 10201 Sea Gull Drive.
