The Douglas Company built 16,079 DC3s type aircraft, the first one flew on December 17th 1935. This short film is based on a true story of a DC3 that was built for the US Air Force and found its way abandoned in Guyana. Of the many DC3 that was built for the USAAF, this one with serial # 19759 served in the USAAF during world war 11 and carried a tail plate 43-15293 .It was later sold and re-registered as NC50312 then sold again and registered as VP-GAF while serving British Guiana Airways, and later changed to 8R-GAF. It was finally registered with Beach Airways as 9Y-TDY, made its last flight to Guyana and left abandoned for over 30 years.
