A group of Maasai warriors are swapping their spears for tracking devices in a new role as lion guardians. Once, they hunted lions on the plains but now the Morans are using their unique skills to help conserve Africa's big cats.
Actually, over 40,000 yrs ago, & the game they hunted- flourishing until colonization. These folks used kill a lion as part of their rite of passage ceremony w/ hand crafted weapons gathered from the landscape! I would rather have their skill sets along with their connection w/ a cursory training in modern technology, than be a pasty modern "outdoorsman" with a cursory knowledge of primitive skills. I humbly set forth this observation as a former Marine & Survival Instructor since 1987.
