This is a beautiful version..never knew Dusty recorded it.

I have the Cilla Black version from the l960s and didn't know that Dusty ever sang it. Cilla takes it just a bit faster, which I think I prefer, but they're both very fine versions. I always felt it was a vastly under-rated song. Great. Thanks.

Interesting to consider this is a Randy Newman song. It is a very british in feel and a complete contrast to his later signature work such as 'Leave your hat on' which are unabashingly American in theme and style

"I see your face" phrasing by Dusty is brilliant.

This is another great track from Dusty, thats why I love her sooooo

very true,i agree

Both Dusty and Cilla are stunning performers. I think Cilla's version of this song has the edge over Dusty's - but that's only my opinion. Cilla could always bring the "broken heart" into her voice in her big 60s ballads like no other. Dusty is a brilliant interpreter of song too.

Agree. Dusty's a great singer, but Cilla rules on this one, hands down. It's an amazing song by Randy Newman, that I don't believe he ever recorded himself. Check out the verison by the 1960s rock group H. P. Lovecraft, too.
LORD, this song is beautiful. Dusty Springfield is the MOST criminally underrated female singer of all time. One of the VERY greats ones!!! RIP, dear lady.

This was the first record I ever bought (1963). Great to see the video as well. Did not know Cilla Black sang it. It's Dusty's tune.
