For the price is this kayak worth considering? Does it have a self bailing design? Able to take small waves if the water is choppy? Where have you rigged your transducer for your depth finder? how about storage? I want to purchase a kayak, but the one I want is a little over a thousand dollars. it's the Wilderness Systems 120 commander, I like the idea of being able to stand in it. However at a thousand dollars, while possible, I think is too much for my first one. I fish mainly lakes. Msg me ty

I've been looking at this kayak for a bit, havent had a chance to try it out yet. Is this a kayak that you would be comfortable covering five miles in?

awesoem i am looking into the scrambler xt angler for my first fishing yak
Hey dude, been watching a few of your kayak fishing vids and wondered how many kayaks do you now have? I've seen a few? Or have you slowly upgraded? What do you fish from now?
I'm taking delivery of an ocean kayak trident 13 on sept 8th, can't wait to get started! Looks like good fishing over where you go, keep the vids coming, any advice would be great. Kind regards Jez Scotland uk

Slowly started to upgrade so right now just down to two. You'll love the Trident 13. It's definitely the best kayak i've used so far. Stable and surprisingly pretty quick. Good luck to you. Send me a message if you have any specific questions. Maybe I can help

where do you put your fish? i have a scrambler xt with an ice chest strapped to the back, but it's not very stable. Suggestions?

Hmm...I guess it depends. Out here I usually just use a large fish clip and trail it right off the yak. If you're fishing out in the ocean you probably don't want to be dangling fish off your kayak. The cooler sounds like a good idea, maybe get one that isn't too high with a wider base. If it doesn't fit properly in the back use some bungees to tie it down.

do the rod holders affect your paddeling?

The rod holders don't really affect the paddling at all. When I'm paddling for a good distance I'll just remove the extension rod holder and put it on once I've found a good spot to fish in.
