This was my final project for a filmmaking class I had this past semester. It's a mockumentary comedy that satirizes the poet Dante Alighieri and his most famous work "The Divine Comedy," along with a number of other iconic writers and their works.
The film's story centers around Dante becoming a standup comedian after his death and going on a comedy tour of the afterlife. This baffles most of his fellow deceased writers, so his former guide Virgil decides to get to the bottom of things by filming a documentary about the tour. Along the way, Virgil interviews Dante and several other famous writers including Homer, Shakespeare, Dickens, and the anonymous "Beowulf" author.
The film stars Alex Blair, Andrew Pochan, Josh Elsass, Taylor Durham, myself, and Jon Harchick of MoldytoasterMedia fame: http://www.youtube.com/user/MoldytoasterMedia .
Filmed at Robert Morris University.
